I’m Yasmin Sawhney

I’m a passionate artist who creates vibrant and thought-provoking works despite living with Central Serous Retinopathy, a visual impairment since 1988. My art reflects resilience, hope, and boundless creativity, proving that limitations can transform into strengths. I specialize in oil on canvas, using a magnifying glass and labeled paint tubes to bring life to my compositions. My works feature bold colors, featureless figures, and unique textures, capturing the essence of human emotion and life’s paradoxes. Through my journey, I’ve found inspiration in adversity, including the loss of my son, Sub. Lt. Samir Sawhney, Indian Navy. With every stroke, I celebrate life’s beauty and complexities, inspiring others to find hope and meaning through creativity.
